ABOUT // THE MASTHEAD

About this PT-141 digest

A regulatory-careful reading of the bremelanotide record — and a plain statement of what it is not.

What this site is

Pharmacy PT-141 reads and restates the peer-reviewed research literature on PT-141 (bremelanotide). We read the published trials, the mechanistic studies, the independent reviews, and the FDA prescribing information, and we restate what they actually found in plain English, with every quantitative claim cited to its source.

What this site is not

This is not a clinic and not a pharmacy. No clinicians or pharmacists are on staff, and no medical advice is given here. It makes, sells, and distributes nothing, and it connects no one to a prescriber. The word "pharmacy" in our name is editorial framing — the position a careful reader takes toward a drug's regulatory status, label, and access context — not a claim that this site offers pharmacy services. Its work is a careful reading of published science.

How we handle the regulatory line

PT-141 is unusual: it is both a real FDA-approved prescription drug (bremelanotide, for premenopausal HSDD) and a powder sold separately as an unregulated research chemical. We keep those two things apart on every page. We label the single approved indication as approved, every other use as off-label or investigational, and the research-chemical form as outside the approval framework with no oversight of identity or purity. We report labeled and studied doses as documented figures, never as recommendations, and we never tell a reader what to take.
